How to Increase Profits by Making Maps in Path of Exile 2

In Path of Exile 2, making maps is one of the core gameplays in the later stages of map brushing, which is related to the efficiency of income, the quality of drops and the growth rate of characters. If we spend the same amount of time brushing a map, making a better map will provide us with higher income, so it is particularly important to understand and make better maps, which will make you get twice the result with half the effort when brushing maps. Come and learn!
Map Function & Composition
Map Function
The map itself is a tradable item, unlocking high-level areas, obtaining high-level dropped items, and brushing exclusive mechanism content. Ordinary maps are dropped by brushing maps, and to obtain high-quality maps, ordinary maps need to be manually made into high-level maps.
Map prefix and suffix composition content
The prefix affixes are all gain-types, such as:
Increase % of the number of items in this area; % of the rarity of items; the drop rate of gold coins in this area increases by %; increase % of the experience gained; increase % of the size of monster groups, etc.
The suffixes of the suffixes are all negative effects that increase the monster's strength, but they can increase the drop rate of the map (change stone), such as:
Monsters cause additional elemental damage equivalent to % of damage; increase % monster damage, % monster movement speed, % monster attack speed; increase % of the change stones found in the area; increase % monster elemental resistance, etc.
So when we make a map, if we want to pursue positive gains such as the number of drops and item quality, we need to max out the prefixes, and if we only pursue the map (change stone) drop, we need to max out the suffixes. If you want all, then max out the affixes. But it also means that the map has a higher difficulty, and you need to do it according to your ability.
Map making
Due to the significant increase in monster strength in the current season, the way we make maps is "Right-turn Alchemical Omen + Philosopher's Stone".
The function of Right-turn Alchemical Omen is: when this item is activated in your backpack, your next Alchemical Stone will cause the maximum number of suffixes.
The function of Philosopher's Stone is: upgrade an ordinary item to a rare item with 4 affixes.
So "Right-turn Alchemical Omen + Philosopher's Stone" can directly fill the map with prefixes and obtain various affixes that are beneficial to us. It can not only retain the maximum prefix to increase our map-brushing benefits, but also retain a certain number of resurrections to prevent rollover.
Map strength classification
Ordinary gold T15; oiled gold T15; Vaal gold T15; oiled Vaal T15.
Map making
First, we choose an uncorrupted T15 map, whether it is white, blue or gold.
Ordinary gold T15 production:
Step 1: Identify all of them, first use right-hand alchemical omen, then use the touchstone, or the amplification stone + rich stone to make them all gold maps with at least 3 affixes.
Step 2: First exclude maps with garbage prefixes, such as gold coin drops and experience gains. If the maps are rich, you can consider storing and selling these maps in batches.
Step 3: Use the sublime stone to make the remaining maps with at least 3 affixes. If there are still useless affixes, you can consider whether to keep them based on the pros and cons of other affixes.
Oiled gold T15 production:
There are 4 types of oiling options for full prefix maps:
- Monster group map: generally refers to a map with 3 monster groups. The suitable oiling for this map is anger or sin. Anger is generally used in the early season, and sin can be used in the middle of the season. Its effect increases the size of the monster group, which can better improve our map-clearing benefits. After applying the oil, it becomes a 4-monster group map. This type of map can get more sacrifice points by hitting the altar/get more item drops by hitting the rift, which is suitable for Builds with low rarity group damage.
- High rarity + 2 monster group map: This type of map should be selected in two situations, apply oil 1 (if it is a low rarity Build, you can apply greed to increase the rarity), apply oil 2 (high rarity Build can apply oil sin to continue to stack monster groups), this type of map is suitable for hitting rifts and passing maps and exploration.
- Item drop number + rarity + 3 monster group map: Apply oil 1 (if it is a low rarity Build, you can apply greed to increase the rarity); Apply oil 2 (high rarity Build can apply oil sin to continue to stack monster groups, if the rarity is less than 400, apply greed). This type of map is suitable for hitting altars, rifts and exploration.
- Rarity above 90 + drop quantity + single monster group: Oiled 1 (high rarity with 2 paranoia + 1 sin); Oiled 2 (low rarity with 2 paranoia + 1 sin/3 greed), this type of map is suitable for playing altars, rifts and explorations.
Oiled logic: low rarity Build stacks rarity to increase drop quality, high rarity stacks item drops to increase drop quantity.
Val gold/oiled T15 production:
Golden T15 maps that have been oiled or not can be corrupted with Vaal Orbs. It may be upgraded to a T16 map or downgraded to a T14 map. Vaal maps are risky maps.
Note: After we put the map in, we use the Fate Turning Talent in the Alien Talent Point to let it corrupt once more. If you want to steadily brush the T16 level 82 map: you must temporarily turn off the talent and then turn on the map. After playing the map, remember to turn on the Fate Talent again to continue to play the extreme prefix map. In this kind of map with T16 stable level 82 monsters, combined with the alien talent again, in addition to downgrading, it may also be possible to turn it into a map with all prefixes to greatly increase the item drops in the map, or a map with all suffixes to greatly increase the map boundary stone drops. The map downgraded to T14 can be used to fight towers, and the map with all suffixes can be considered for fighting fortresses. The rest of the maps that retain prefixes or all prefixes are our super high-quality top maps.
Use of Maps
The right map with the right boundary stone can produce the effect of 1+1>2. For example, for a map with BOSS, you can use a map key with 3 prefixes + 3 suffixes. 3 prefixes guarantee the map to kill and drop, and 3 suffixes guarantee that the BOSS can provide us with a large number of T15 maps at one time; if it is a fortress, you can use a map with all suffixes.
The number of boundary stones dropped will affect the drop of the fortress's final boss ticket. A maximum of 4 tickets can be produced at one time, which is about 8-10 sacred stone income.
