In Path of Exile 2, equipment is mainly obtained through drops in the game. The equipment affixes in each section are different. Equipment is usually valuable only if it has at least 3 target affixes, 2-3 prefixes, and 1-3 suffixes (or at least one empty suffix is valuable).

Path of Exile 2 Equipment Purchase

Weapon Section

1. Attack damage school

For weapons that rely on attack damage output, the suffixes in the suffix include attack speed, critical hit rate and critical hit damage. Generally, the higher the T level, the higher the value

  • Three-element weapons: generally have at least three affixes, the lowest is 3T affixes are valuable, 3T1 is the best; if it is a bow weapon, the suffix affixes usually pursue [extra arrows, attack speed, critical hit rate, double damage, critical hit damage].
  • Physical damage weapons: need to have a T1 [point damage or essence] point damage affix, two T3 affixes; the affix is [physical damage increase is valuable], and the suffix affix needs to be [attack speed, critical hit rate, double damage, critical hit damage].

2. Spell damage school

The spell damage school basically uses spell damage output, which is easy to consume skill level, generally spell skill level +1, or a blank prefix is more valuable.

  • Elemental/Chaos Spell Direct Damage Weapons: Valuable prefix affixes are [All Spell Levels +1, All Elemental/Chaos Spell Skill Levels +1].
  • COC Weapons: The mainstream COC weapons in the current version usually use attack skills and critical hits to trigger spell skills. The suffix requirements are different from the three types of magic damage weapons. They do not eat affixes to increase the casting speed, but the requirements for equipment base materials, attack speed, and basic critical hit rate are higher. The prefix affix will use [Attack and spells cannot be dodged]. COC weapons belong to a relatively high-cost school, and the equipment requirements are also higher.
  • Summoning weapons: The prefix affixes are [All Spell Skill Levels +1, All Summoning Skill Levels +1, Summoned Creature Damage Increased]; Different suffix affixes have different summoning BD requirements, such as [(Summoned Creature) Attack and Casting Speed Increased, Critical Damage Bonus, Critical Hit Rate].

3. Continuous damage school

  • Ignite: Prefix affix is [Spell Skill Level +1], suffix affix is [Continuous Damage Bonus - Fire Continuous Damage Bonus, Burning Damage Increase - Fire Damage Increase]
  • Poison: Prefix affix is changed to [Chaos] like spells, suffix affix is [Continuous Damage Bonus - Chaos Continuous Damage Bonus, Poisoning Damage Increase, Poisoning Effective Time Faster, Chaos Damage]

Armor Plate

Armor is divided into hands, head, shoes and chest armor. Usually, the suffix affixes include [Fire, Frost, Lightning, Chaos Resistance, Spell Damage Suppression Rate, Strength, Agility, Life Regeneration Per Second]. Only when 3 of them are at least T3 or above is it valuable; the suffix is [3 resistance or 2 resistance to magic pressure, 2 resistance 1 attribute]. These three combinations are easy to sell and have higher prices. The higher the prefix affix [Life], the better.

Off-hand Section

Off-hand is divided into shield and quiver

1. Shield: prefix affix is [all spell skills +1, xx damage increase, maximum life]; suffix affix is [maximum element, chaos resistance limit].

2. Quiver: prefix affix is [life, bow skill damage, attack additional basic xx damage]; suffix affix is [extra arrows, critical damage, attack speed].

Waist Ornament Section

Waist ornaments are divided into belts, necklaces and rings

1. Belt: In addition to legendary equipment, the most commonly used and most valuable is the Abyss Belt, which has an extra jewelry hole. The affix requirements are basically the same as the armor plate section. The suffix affix is high T-level [extended potion duration, reduced potion recharge usage, increased cooling recovery speed], which is valuable for self-injury or as a small magic blood.

2. Necklace: Commonly used all-knowing or other legendary necklaces for attack damage output, [Spell Damage Output], prefix affix is [All skill stone levels +1, all fire and other skills level +1, maximum life or decryption affix], suffix affix is [Critical damage, critical hit rate, dot damage to continue damage bonus], suitable for direct damage school.

3. Ring: In the early season, rings usually use legendary equipment, or supplement resistance and attributes, and each one is still at least T3 or above. The suffix affix has 3 resistances, 3 attributes, 2 resistances and 1 burst damage. It is also cheaper in the later stage. Special bases such as purple crystal rings are more valuable. The higher the prefix life and [Attack skill elemental damage increase], the better.

Summary

The value of equipment in Path of Exile is determined by the market, which is usually closely related to the production cost and output quantity. Therefore, it often takes a lot of experience to identify the value of equipment.
